The buses seem to take about as long as biking around here. What I was planning to do in a day and a half took all day on the bus. Of course, it probably would have taken longer than I was thinking. The bus ride was rather hair-raising. Only a couple of feet clearance between the bus and the edge of the road, which drops down a couple of hundred feet to the river. A bad bounce on a pothole and it's trouble.

I am going to take a night bus, so that I can make up some time. I want to get to Cusco in a couple of days. Still unclear if I have time for much of Bolivia or not.
