30 NOV - Meknes, Morocco

Everyone must, at some point in their lives, go to a Hammam. It is the Moroccan bath house, and is quite amazing. Decrepit old men scrubbing you down in hot steam rooms, then dousing you with hot, then cold, then warm water. All done in an old tile building that hasn't changed in centuries.

I am continuing my power tour of the old imperial cities of Morocco. Fés was amazing, perhaps the most impressive old city that I've seen. But too many annoying people. Méknes seems much more mellow, but I haven't seen much yet. I spent an hour looking for ice cream, to no avail. All of the ice cream places seem to not actually carry any ice cream.
