22 OCT - Cuenca, Spain

I decided to do a quick side trip to Cuenca, a small town a couple of hours East of Madrid. That's the great thing about Europe, everything is a couple of hours away.

Cuenca is beautiful; the old city is build on top of a cliff, with the buildings nearly spilling over the side. Too bad it's so overcast; it would make a great photo.

Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle ambling about town. Just one of those freak things, one bad step and crunch. My ankle's swollen, but I can walk, and I'm going to try to take a couple of days rest. Sunday is a bad day to buy anything like an ankle brace, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.
