28 APR - Mzusu, Malawi

Well, a lot has happened in the past few days, everything except finding internet access that is. I am currently in Mzuzu, on my way back to Lilongwe, after spending a relaxing few days in Nkhata Bay. To summarize the last few days, I eventually made it to Lilongwe, on the 23rd. I managed to meet up with my friend Emily with no problems. After taking care of some chores (like buying a new battery charger after mine blew up in Rwanda), we headed to Nkhata Bay, on the shores of Lake Malawi.

Nkhata Bay is a mellow, relaxing place, the kind of place where you can show up one day and before you know what's happened, a week has passed. We weren't that bad, but we did spend three days doing very little other than drinking, snorkeling, and relaxing.

From here we are heading back to Lilongwe on a night bus, and then on to the south of Malawi to do some hiking. We got stuck in Mzuzu when the minibus we were taking decided to not go to Lilongwe after all.

My updates will be pretty erratic, since Malawi has some of the worst email facilities of any country so far. I still haven't had time to reply to anyone's emails. Sorry about that.
